Genesis 50:20
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done…”
We all know an optimist; someone who can see the good in absolutely every situation, even when it seems like there should be no good to be seen.
But how many of those optimists can truly create good out of every situation? How many can take the ultimate worst and make it produce good? Probably none of them.
But God can.
No matter what situation you are going through, God is working in it and through it. Look back at your life up to this point. Think of a time where you went through something that seemed hard at the time, but now you can see what good came out of it. How grateful can we be that God works in all of our situations?
He is constantly giving and blessing and helping each one of us along the way. Think of the friends that you have or the house you live in. Think of your favorite activity or even the stillness of the beach on a quiet morning. Instead of focusing on what may be harming us, let’s be grateful for the blessings that God has given, and trust that he’ll continue to work good in all of our situations.
We can be grateful for a God who gives good things.
