Ephesians 5:19
“… Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord”

In the midst of our worst days, in the depths of our sorrows, in our fear and our insecurities we have the opportunity to always worship. We sing at church, we sing in the shower, we sing in our cars with the windows down, but do we sing in the hard moments straight to Jesus?

No matter the case, you have the choice to sing. There is something so undoing about singing from the deepest parts of your heart. When we sing to the Lord a work begins in our hearts. Worship is connection. Have you ever thought of it like that?

It’s easy to think our songs are sung straight to the clouds. It’s as if you’re worshipping but your song is merely hitting the clouds and resting there. But let me tell you now, those songs go far beyond the clouds and hit the heart of God. Because when we worship, those songs speak so sweetly and tenderly to a God who loves and adores his creation.

Is there space in your day to sing praises to Jesus? Wait… let me rephrase that. Is there space in your day to connect with Jesus? All our days should be filled with this longing and pressing for connecting with our savior and creator. Spend time today sending your songs to the heavens. Not sure where to start? Listen to this song and pray through it, sing if you know it, and let three minutes of your day be completely focused on connecting with Jesus.
