Luke 15:4
“‘Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?'”
We know Jesus leaves the 99 for the one. As a good shepherd, he comes out and finds the one sheep who’s wandered off and carries him home. Jesus is the perfect shepherd and we’re the wandering sheep. What perfect love does when we move down the wrong path or make choices that get us off course, is find us and carry us home. Jesus longs to bring you back into his arms.
Ask yourself today where you might be wandering. Maybe you’re overwhelmed with school and the constant changes that are happening all around you. Your mind could be wandering and worrying over all the details and unknowns. Stop, seek Jesus, and let him carry you home. Maybe you physically have been moving in a different direction, lying to your friends and family, making choices that could hurt not only you but others around you. Stop, seek Jesus, and let him carry you home.
No matter how far, Jesus comes to us. No matter how lost, Jesus finds us. No matter how hurt, Jesus heals us.
Prayerfully consider all these things in your heart and ask Jesus, your shepherd, to come out, find you, and carry you home.
