1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

I do not know if you’re like me, but one of the MOST frustrating things in the entire world is when you are halfway to your destination in your car and realize you left something really important at home.
Honestly, when that happens I am so stinking frustrated at myself that I start processing and having a heated debate in my head of how important that item actually is to me. Almost 98% of the time though, I do not go back home to get it. Because I hate more than anything, call me stubborn, to turn my car around. But sometimes it is absolutely necessary.
See there are also times in my life where I have sinned and I seriously wondered will God forgive me. There are other times in my depravity where I call out to God and in my brokenness wonder if he stills cares and still loves me. In those times, I realize that it is like my stubbornness with turning the car around. Because God welcomes us back to himself because of what Jesus did. Our sin is paid for. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
His grace is lavished upon us in abundance. Jesus loves you, seriously, YOU ARE FORGIVEN. So today, tell stubbornness to flee, live in grace, turn your car around, and run to the Father.
