Pslam 150:6
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.”
I wake up every morning thirsty. Not only do I pour myself a glass of water and start to brew a pot of coffee with sleepy eyes, but I also pull my bible and journal out from my bedside drawer. I start my days with this thirst for more than what the world can offer (cheap coffee and tap water). I thirst for the Lord, for a special sweet time with Jesus.
Whether it’s quietly sipping my creamed-up coffee waiting in the stillness to hear his voice, flipping through Psalms and Proverbs and allowing the poetry of David and Solomon’s words to pour over me like honey, or journaling my heart away to Jesus with slight hand cramps and pages filled with words, I know starting my day with the creator of the universe is necessary.
Worship is connection. As I sit before him, morning after morning, I’m slowly moving closer and closer to his heart. My time of worship might look different from yours, but I long to spend a sweet time of connection with Jesus at the same time as you.
Join me this morning in grabbing some coffee and your bible. Join me in worshipping through connection with Jesus.
